Sir Edwin Henry Landseer Sir Edwin Henry Landseer (1802 1873) was a highly famed and respected 19th century British painter, etcher, sculptor and draftsman. He was most recognized for his ability to represent animals with great accuracy, as well as his ability to personify them. Landseers animal subjects primarily included dogs, deer and monkeys.
