1893 Print Transportation Building Golden Door Gate Chicago's World Fair FAR1 SEP5 This 14+ year old ItemThe Golden Gate Ajar. This is an original 1894 halftone print of the door to the Transportation Building. This entrance was known as the Golden Doorway and over the doorway were inscribed quotations from Bacon and Macaulay. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.) Period Paper has obtained a wonderful set of halftone images of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, also known as the World Columbian Exposition. This
