He was active from 1835 to 1870. The spoon is topped with a fisherman with fish and a fyke net. This depiction is quite rare. The spoon is hallmarked with the second fineness mark, year letter E for 1839, Minerva head, and master's mark AS107. Engraved on the bowl of the spoon: Sjoukje Eiles Boersma born on 18 July 1804.
