From his first exhibitions in the 1960s, his paintings and drawings, his lithographs and engravings revealed a strong taste for literature, as evidenced by the titles and dedications of his paintings. He illustrated the poets he loved, from Jacques Dupin to Philippe Jaccottet, before writing his own texts. Grard Titus
